- Room bookings at West End Guest House are subject to these terms and conditions and must be a deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the stay via a a debit or credit card. Receipt of this deposit confirms your booking and written confirmation will be sent to you by post of via email.
We can only accept bookings made by adults aged 18 years or over. When a booking has been accepted (i.e. the dates, accommodation type, number of guests, price and cancellation proceedure have been accepted and your details have been entered into the diary), a legally enforceable contract comes into existence. In the event of making a booking on the due date of arrival whereby a debit/credit card deposit has not been taken, entry in our booking diary of your full contact details will be considered proof that we have communicated with you in line with the legislation for Guest House accommodation and that the booking has been accepted..
Full payment is accepted via debit/credit card or cash only. Card payments will incur a transaction charge of 2%. We regret that we are unable to accept Mastercard, American Express and all card trasactions from overseas visitors.
Cancellation policy:
- If you need to cancel your booking,we request that you provide us with as much notice as possible in order to give us the best possible opportunity to relest the room(s). If all of the room(s) are re-let for the total lenght of stay booked, then the initial depositi will be returned to you in full less £10 to covber administration costs. If on the other hand, only some rooms have been re-let but not for the entire duration of the initial booking, then the amount of money refunded will reflect this. If we are unable to re-let all of the rooms then the initial deposit of 50% in this instance is not refundable. It is your resposibility to inform other members of your party of the cancelation proceedure.. We strongly urge that you cover the cost of your booking with Holiday Insurance.
- We reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time before the date on which your stay begins. We would only expect to do so for some other unforeseen reason. In this unlikely event, we shall refund in full all money received by us for the booking and do our utmost to find you alternative quality accommodation in the area.
- If a booking has been accepted on the basis of false statements made by you on arrival or during your stay, we reserve the right tocancel your booking with immediate effect.
- We will in no way discriminate against you on the grounds of gender, race, disability and sexual orientation. If you have a disability you will be accommodated wherever possible based upon the information provided at the time of booking.
- If you are vegitarian, have any special dietary needs or areallergic to goose down duvets, pollen or scented products please lets us know at least 24 hours in advance so that the appropriate measures can be put in place for you.
- The number of people sleeping in the property must not exceed the number booked in at any given time.
- If you refuse to accept the accommodation booked on arrival or to accept a suitable alternative, we reserve the right to treat this as a cancellation. If you decide to check out early, the full amount of the booking will be charged to the debit/credit card under whose name the booking has been made.
- Entrance to the property is from 15.30pm onwards on the day of arrival and departure on your final day of stay should be no later than 09.30am. Earlier arrival is available by prior agreement only. parking on the premisis appliaes from 15.30 on the day of arrival untill 09.30 on the day of departure.
- We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property or or to vehicles parked on the premises.
- Smoking, eating food or consuming alcohol is not permitted within the bedrooms or in the guest house. Acceptance of your booking is done so with this condition in place. Failure to comply will incur an excess fee of up to £100 for additional cleaning. Drunken and disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated. Likewise if the property is damaged by any reckless or deliberate means, a full charge will be levied to cover the cost of the damage caused and the loss of income to us as result if the rooms have to be taken out of use. It is your reponsibility therefore to report any accidential spillages/ breakages so that the affected areas can be treated without undue delay. The use of electrical items, including tea and coffee making facitities provided is at your risk.
- Any payment due owing to curtailment or damage to our property will be deducted from the debit/credit card number provided at the time of booking. Notification of any such transactions will be provided in writing or by email. CCTV is in operation on the premises.
- We will not accept any claims for damage to clothing during the washing, drying or ironing process.
- We regret we cannot accept children under 12 or pets, other than guide dogs.
